Guildford is an affluent commuter town in Surrey located 27 miles southwest of London. The area is noted for its technology and high-tech manufacturing and is home to Surrey Satellite Technology, one of the UK’s leading Aerospace companies. The University of Surrey is also based here which is one of the UK’s leading research universities specialising in the area of technology and communications.
Due to its proximity to London, the town offers excellent transport connections. Two train stations serve the town. The largest Guildford Station sits on the Portsmouth line and provides direct connections to London Waterloo and Portsmouth. The other, London Road Guildford, sits on the New Guildford Line and provides connections to Redhill, Cobham and Epsom. Heathrow Airport is also within a 30-minute drive.
Most office space in the town is located in business parks close to the university campus. Because the town is quite small, they are also within walking distance of the town centre. A diverse range of space is available including large campus-style office buildings, research facilities, industrial units and business centres.
