Located in the heart of the Thames Valley, Bracknell is less than an hour from central London by train and close to other major business centres such as Reading, Maidenhead and Slough. The town is well known for its tech-focused economy with many leading technology companies based here including Hewlett Packard, Dell, Fujitsu and Brocade.
Unlike other major business centres, the town doesn’t have a central business district as such. Most companies are based in one of the many business parks located close to the A329M. These parks offer a diverse selection of office space from state-of-the-art self-contained HQ style buildings to modern business centres and industrial/data centre space.
Up until recently, the town didn’t offer much in the way of amenities. This was seen as a major stumbling block to attracting new companies to the area. But this is set to change in 2020 following the extensive redevelopment of the town centre. When completed in 2021 this will create more than 580,000 sq ft of retail, dining and leisure space.
